Joint Managing Director
Ewan began his career working for an international corporate leader in Australia before taking an overseas posting in commercial sales and property marketing which provided him with a breadth of international experience and exposure to international clients.
An entrepreneurial spirit and desire to return to home shores brought Ewan back to Sydney where he and his father, real estate industry veteran Mark Morton, decided to combine their talents and experience to establish Morton & Morton in 1996.
Now called Morton, he has grown to comprise award winning residential sales, property management and building management teams with a committed staff of 75 employees across six centrally located Sydney locations.
Ewan continues to drive the long term growth and success of the business through his determination to embrace innovation and challenge convention.
In 2001 Ewan chose to become a non-selling Principal to ensure he can always focus on supporting the development of individual staff as well as the success of the team and the performance of the business. His leadership in the business and industry was recognised at the 2014 national REB Awards when Ewan received the coveted “Award for Business Excellence”. In the words of Director of Sterling Publishing, Phillip Tarrant: “In winning this award, Ewan Morton has affirmed his place as the nation’s top real estate agent. He epitomises professionalism in real estate and is regarded by his peers for his passion and energy, and these elevate the industry.”
Ewan was also been named REB “Industry Thought Leader” in 2013 and 2014 again reflecting his commitment to challenging the status quo.
Morton is consistently recognised as an industry leader, named 2013 REI NSW ‘Large Residential Agency’ of the Year and ‘Best Online Presence’. This maintains an impressive track record of achievement with a slew of Industry Awards secured for corporate support, property marketing and property management since 2004.
Not one to rest on those successes Ewan is always looking for opportunities to expand and improve the service offered by Morton. In 2013 he introduced an employee share scheme to ensure the business is best placed to attract and motivate key staff and incentivise future performance.
Ewan leads with an open door management style, a mark of his honesty that is valued by staff. His enthusiasm and energy motivates and inspires staff, evidenced in the high retention rate. Ewan's dedication to providing the best real estate service drives him to always seek improvement and growth for the business and its staff.
